This is a photograph of my mother being held by her father in 1933. When my mother found it she immediately gave it to me to paint. It was small, faded and cracked. But I gave it my best shot. I had no idea how much I was to enjoy the challenge.
I loved bringing the characters in the old photograph to life. In this case it was my Mom and my Grandfather whom I had never met.
I was hooked. I started looking around for more old photos to awaken. This one is of my brother and sister gazing “lovingly” at each other. (Now that’s a picture with a story from before and after!)

In fact, if you have any picture you want to see immortalized, I can do that too. As many of you know, this is a pastel drawing of a picture taken at the Bay of Fundy right before a sunrise eclipse.
